Arts Scholarship Award

Ceasar Ruggeri Scholarship

The Ceasar Ruggeri Scholarship Award was set up in 1996 as the Arts Commission Scholarship by the Naugatuck Arts Commission. Since 1996 three graduating seniors from Naugatuck High School have been given this award each year. In 2001 the scholarship award was named in honor of Ceasar Ruggeri, founder of the Naugatuck Arts Commission and long time member. In 2002 the award was expanded to honor four graduating seniors.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a minimum 2.75 B- average.
Candidates must have been active in the performing arts in high school.
Candidates must provide evidence of positive character traits.
Candidates must provide evidence of high achievement in their artistic discipline.
Candidates must provide evidence that they exude an exemplary level of citizenship.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to continue their pursuit of artistic excellence on the collegiate level.

Funding:

The Ceasar Ruggeri Scholarship is funded by donations by summer concert goers, private grants, and memorial contributions. For information about making a donation please call 203-723-4823 or e-mail the Arts Commission .
