Eligibility and Rules
1. Entrants of all ages are eligible to submit photos for the contest.
2. Photography entries must be the original work of the entrant and reflect the contest theme of Fashion. Entries must be in print format, 8x10 on photo paper (no digital, slide or video entries). A digital file must accompany the print entry. Eligible participants may submit up to a total of 3 photographs.
3. It shall be the responsibility of the person submitting the photo to obtain a release from any recognizable or readily discernable individual in the submitted photo.
4. Each participant entry must carry on the reverse side of photo:
a. title of work
b. complete name and age of photographer
c. description of photograph
5. All entries must be accompanied by an official entry form, completed and signed by the entrant and parent (if a minor).
6. By signing the entry form and submitting it, entrants are agreeing to grant the Naugatuck Arts Commission license for use of the photographs in displays related to the contest and in printed and electronic publications. The entrant will be fully credited in all such displays and publications. Photographs become the property of the Naugatuck Arts Commission.
7. 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and honorable mention may be awarded. One award per entrant maximum. The judges reserve the right to award one or more awards for each place or to choose not to award any specific place. All decisions of the judges are final.
8. Entries will be judged on artistic expression, creativity and originality, and the quality of the image. All decisions of the judges are final. The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify entries which do not conform to the stated contest rules and criteria or are of an inappropriate nature.
9. Deadline for entries: February 15, 2010. Photos will be displayed and judged at a place and time to be determined.
10. Entries should be submitted to the Naugatuck Arts Commission, 229 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770 - attn: Photo Contest.
